Intermediate - Autumn 2009

This is a digital-fabrication course using parametric modelling and attraction-scripting using Rhino Grasshopper and the laser cutter.  Employing associative modelling and agent controls, variable ornamental geometric formations will be explored to generate a dynamic weaving of wire and wood in the creating of a prototype model for a bird habitat. Wire-frame modelling will be further articulated with the developing of beam and joint systems. Digital models will be translated into files for the laser cutter using the same parametric platform, in preparation for final physical model assemblage.
