MS-Lab Staff

 

The tutors that make up the Media Studies Staff department come from a wide range of experience and expertise, from individuals running their own practices and consultancies to those deeply involved with larger offices. Areas of professional expertise range from art, to new media, and of course architecture. By integrating such a range of staff within the undergraduate school, participation in Media Studies exposes students to knowledgeable designers heavily integrated into the AA and their respective professional communities.

Ran Ankory

Studied at the AA and since 2002 taught 3D courses/ workshops on subjects such as dynamics, parametric modelling and scripting. In 2007 he established Scenario Architecture. Currently working on residential projects in London, as well as providing 3D consultation to award winning practices in across Europe and conducting R&D for a simulation based architectural software.

Christina Doumpioti

Christina Doumpioti studied Architecture at the Aristotle Univeristy of Thessaloniki and is a registered architect in Greece. She received an MArch from the AA [EmTech], followed by a postgraduate course on Computing and Design at UEL. She is an architect and computational designer at Arup Associates , working in a multi-disciplinary team aiming at integrated solutions across different design fields.

Chris Dunn

Chris has over 8 years post Part III qualification with a Diploma / Masters from Sheffield University. With a keen interest in complex geometrical form, he has developed design skills using 3D CAD / Parametric Software. He is now a design architect for ArupSport, who has worked on numerous projects, specialising in sports stadia, bridges and sculptures.

Andres Harris

Andres obtained the MSc in Emergent Technologies + Design in 2007 at the AA, year in which he joined Foster+Partners in London where he is still employed. His work and research has been recognized and published in Europe, Asia and the Americas and has lectured in Biomimetic and Parametric Design in various institutions.

Pavel Hladik

Pavel Hladik is an architect and currently works at ArupSport where he has been involved in various projects across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

He obtained his master’s degree at the Czech Technical University in Prague and at the Graduate School of the Architectural Association – Emergent Technologies and Design.

Joshua Newman

Joshua is a 3ds Max specialist who has been providing services to Architectural clients for 15 years. Joshua's skills range from producing conceptual models and images to highly detailed illustrations. He has a broad knowledge of the software including scripting and photo realistic rendering.

Edgar Payan Pacheco
